Larry W Parrish Setting Up A Guitar

One of the biggest issues in deciding if a guitar is a fine, high quality instrument, or future firewood is its playability. Most people don't realize how easy it is to make their guitar play better. You should just be able to pass a business card between the 7th fret and the bottom of the string.… Continue

Joey Lazio I need some banjo help :).

I recently got a banjo for Christmas and it came without an arm rest and had a dent in the drum head so we exchanged it for a new one. The new one has everything with it this time, but from the 12th fret and up it sounds sharp compared to the last one. It's in tune and everything I made sure. Any advice as to what the problem might be? Continue

Larche Hardy Old dog, new Dobro!

I have added a Dobro to my dusty instrument collection. I was offered a great bargain and I have learned after years of shopping with my wife, never let a bargain pass. She collects chickens and every flat surface in our living room and kitchen has a ceramic chicken smiling back at me. They just sit there apparently adding to the ambiance, or so s… Continue
