We spent the weekend in Athens Alabama at the Old Time Fiddlers Convention...shoulda went to IBMA instead. Athens was an absolute zoo of people. You couldn't hear the contestants because of so much talking in the audience, trains and sirens going on…

National Fiddlers Convention
We spent the weekend in Athens Alabama at the Old Time Fiddlers Convention...shoulda went to IBMA instead. Athens was an absolute zoo of people. You couldn't hear the contestants because of so much talking in the audience, trains and sirens going on like it was a regular occurance. A bizillion people all in one place got to be to much.

Jam fest
I had a blast at my first jam session last night. I didn't know many of the songs but played the best I could by ear.
One person that is a pro picked up my fiddle and played it,,,said it's a great violin and has recording quality. He's made a CD so he should know what he's talking about.
Made my day anyway.
Lots of fiddlin going on this weekend, it's going to be hard to choose. IBMA in Nashville, Old Time Fiddlers Convention in Athens, AL and a couple other places I heard about last night. Guess… Continue
